From Spring2013
Discovered a new place to play. Belconnen Skate Park was a fun place for the kids to improve their scooter skills. A big range in age and abilities. Pleasantly surprised that older kids were quite mindful of the younger ones. Our little Superman did not want to leave.
Tried some new eats. New Acton is the place to go for hip new food. A. Baker was popular for lunch but very attentive and thoughtful of our toddler in tow. Bold flavours and the best fruit loaf we have had in a while. We took a loaf home to enjoy the next few days. (4/5)
In search for the not yet opened Malaysian restaurant in Civic, Papparich, we tried out Jimmy’s Saigon instead. Pho was very tasty. I enjoyed my rice vermicelli salad with spring rolls too. Would still prefer to go to Tudo over this place though. (3.5/5)
Finally, we’ve been out to the countryside a couple of times this month. Revisited the Hall markets earlier in the month and scored an ex-hire indoor plant for $10 and big bag of apples after inhaling a lungful of dust. Second time was out to Gundaroo for a lovely wedding brunch. Children enjoyed having a run in the garden and checking out the chooks while Phil and I had a few minutes to relax here and there.
