Sibling love

Here’s a quick update on our two little people. It still amazes us that Nicholas and Catherine look so similar and yet have completely different personalities. Nicholas takes a while to warm up to people, while Catherine greets everyone with a smile. Nicholas loves to draw and is sensitive while Catherine loves to sing and is tenacious. They are great siblings, bickering and pushing each other’s buttons, but sticking together and protecting one another when an outsider interferes. As an only child, sibling love is especially heartwarming for me to observe in my own children.

Last week Catherine and I were able to attend Nicholas’ school cross country carnival. He ran 1km in the 8-year-old boys race. It was fun to be there to support Nicholas and Catherine was just loving the atmosphere and being with the big kids, especially her brother. The following are a few videos from that morning.
