We're ending the year with a post-Christmas holiday in Merimbula - the perfect place to recover and relax. After our pre-Christmas holiday in Lake Tabourie, our days were filled with end-of-year activities. Nicholas finished year 2 and Catherine finished her year in the Language Intervention Unit. It's always a little sad when the school year ends and some of Nicholas' and Catherine's good friends leave. Catherine and I also attended our last playgroup ever. Hard to believe I've been going there for 8 years. It's also a little sad to be moving on.
In the lead up to Christmas, we attended a number of celebrations. We spent Christmas day with family, eating and opening presents. On Boxing Day we braved the sales in the morning and later joined family again for a nice evening picnic at the Cotter. The day after Boxing Day we joined friends for a movie, Big Hero 6 (4/5), before driving to Merimbula in the afternoon. It was our first family movie outing and both kids enjoyed the experience very much - a huge indicator of how much they've grown this year.
So we end our 2014 blog year with our annual photo montage and our best of list. It was a pretty good year and thank you for being a part of it. We've had some challenging times and for some dear family and friends it's been difficult. But we end it hopeful for a great year ahead. Hope it's been a good one for you and look forward to catching up and sharing our adventures in the new year.
