Nicholas got the chicken pox just days before his birthday. We had to postpone his afterschool ice cream and play with his friends to the following week. So I sent out a broadcast message of the news to friends. A very thoughtful mum asked if they could drop off his birthday present early to keep him busy while he's stuck at home. It was such a sweet gesture and his bestie made this card for him. It definitely made his day after declaring it was going to be the worst birthday ever.
