Rainy day

Rainy day. Took Mom to the airport on the SkyTrain. It was a nice and easy ride. Used easy check-in kiosk and saw her off at security. Back on the SkyTrain to downtown. Enjoyed the quiet time and just soaking in the public transport atmosphere. At last stop, took a detour to Macy's and bought a pair of new Converse shoes to replace the soaked ones I was wearing.

Picked up family at hotel and took them to the Monorail station. Kids enjoyed riding at the front as we approached the Seattle Center. Found the Children's Museum located inside the Armory. Nice little museum that kept the kids occupied for a while. Left for lunch upstairs and were able to re-enter afterwards. Good to see that our two still enjoy imaginary play. They had fun building forts, pretending to be shopkeepers, cooks and bus drivers.

Checked out the challenging outdoor playground. Got quite cold. Went to EMP to use the restrooms and got a sneak peek inside the cool looking building. Played some video games and listened to and watched music videos on a very large screen.

Grateful for the simple dinner at the hotel before Phil took kids to the games room where they spent a while playing video games, pinball and pool.
