December

Nicholas is counting the days until his graduation. Catherine is counting down to Christmas. And Phil and I are looking forward to finishing off work for the year.

More photos from Thanksgiving week

We celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks ago and had another lovely celebration with family and friends. The turkey was accompanied by roasted vegetables, mashed potato, cobb salad, quiche, corn casserole, green beans, corn muffins and cranberry punch. For dessert we had brownies, pumpkin pie and apple pie. The children varying in ages played well together. We even squeezed in a game of 5 Second Rule with everyone and had lots of laughs.

More photos from Noosa

Phil went off to Noosa for a conference following Thanksgiving week. This year's conference was finally not on my birthday week. I was able to celebrate on my actual birth day with lunch with Phil at Bistro Nguyen and with dinner with family at Corvina. I was stuffed!

Christmas work parties and a Christmas decorating competition at work has helped us get into the festive spirit. We also attended Phil's final choir performance for the year at Fitters' Workshop in Kingston. It was a very warm and uncomfortable afternoon but the beautiful sounds of the choir and Phil's solo made it worth it. Here's a nice review of the concert: https://citynews.com.au/2018/review-choir-turns-in-a-fine-performance/.
